Welcome to Seoul, ARMY! 💜 BTS Gwanghwamun Event Guide
If you’re here for the BTS Comeback Event at Gwanghwamun Square on March 21st, you’re in for an unforgettable night! However, since a massive crowd is expected, the City of Seoul has announced strict transportation and safety measures.
To make sure you don't get lost or stranded, here is a friendly guide on how to navigate the city like a local!
🚇 Important: Subway Station Closures & "Non-stop" Passings
This is the most critical part! For safety, trains will not stop at the stations closest to the event during peak hours.
- Gwanghwamun Station (Line 5): Trains will pass through without stopping from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
- City Hall Station (Lines 1 & 2) & Gyeongbokgung Station (Line 3): Trains will pass through without stopping from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
🚧 Major Road Closures & Pedestrian Detours
The area around Gwanghwamun Square is turning into a giant stage. Many roads will be completely blocked to cars and buses.
- Sejong-daero (Main road): Closed all day Saturday until Sunday 6:00 AM.
- Sajik-ro & Saemun-an-ro: Closed starting late afternoon (4:00 PM – 7:00 PM) until 11:00 PM.
🚌 Bus Detours & "Ttareungi" Bikes
- Buses: 62 bus lines (including airport buses 6002, 6005, 6011) will take detour routes. Check your map app!
- Bikes (Ttareungi): Rental stations within 1km will be deactivated. Please avoid using shared scooters/bikes in the area.
🚑 Feeling Unwell? Look for Medical Booths!
Seoul City has set up 3 Emergency Medical Centers (King Sejong Statue, Admiral Yi Sun-sin Statue, and Seoul Hall of Urbanism & Architecture) open from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM. If you feel dizzy, please head there immediately!
🏠 Getting Home Safely
After the show ends (around 9:00 PM), there will be extra subway trains on Lines 2, 3, and 5.
Note: Gwanghwamun, City Hall, and Gyeongbokgung stations might still be closed until 10:00 PM. Walk to nearby open stations (like Jonggak or Euljiro 1-ga) to catch your ride!
